We had stains on our roof on the house we bought new in 1989, with trees overhanging one side, and none on the other side. Last fall, with just one application, and hosing with a regular garden hose, the stained roof looked like new again, and we had to use it on the side we thought was OK to make that part of the roof match the cleaned side.
